Our Client 3 Star Hotel with two years of operation in Arusha they are currently looking for Food & Beverage Manager.

Report: General Manager

Starting Date: ASAP

Salary: Open For Discussion

Open for: Both Tanzanian

Location: Arusha

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure that all guests are served to the hotels standard in the Restaurant/bar/Lounge areas. Display highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times within all food and beverage areas.

Take orders of food and beverages to guests as per the Restaurant standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

v  Maintain a professional and high quality service oriented environment at all times.

v  Creates and price new menus with the menu development team

v  Coordinates with purchasing to insure that all purchases conform to Food and Beverage department purchase orders

v  Weekly audit of Food and Beverage quotation sheets and invoices or delivery tickets

v  Reviews and evaluates the bi-monthly food and beverage cost index

v  Establish, maintains and improves production standards

v  Delivers hotel’s food and beverage service standards

v  Develops with the Conference coordinator menus and acceptable levels and products, this includes proposals, contracts

v  Delivers governments sanitation requirements

v  Undertake responsibility for Scheduling and Payroll of the department.

v  Set Food & Beverage department Budget, monitor Profit & Loss and cash handling throughout the year.

v  Coordinate daily activities with hotel management team on a daily basis.

v  Hold monthly department meetings keeping staff informed of all activities in the hotel,

v  Reinforcing Standards of Excellence and promoting a strong team atmosphere and culture.

v  Act as manager on duty for the hotel, dealing with complaints, problem solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise.

v  Handle guest complaints

v  Supervise all staff including selecting, training, evaluating, scheduling, counselling and disciplining in accordance to the company policies

v  Maintain employee records concerning attendance and punctuality

v  Participate in daily management briefs and disseminate information to front office depart

v  Perform other hotel-related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

v  Degree or Diploma in Food and Beverage from a reputable College or University.

v  5 years previous experience as Food and Beverage Manager in a 3* hotel.

v  Good working knowledge of hotel computer applications.

v  Good working  knowledge  of  micro fidelio

v  A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.

v  Able to work flexible hours.

NOTE:

We encourage Candidate with previous experience in three star hotels/Lodges/Luxury Camps in Zanzibar Mainland Tanzania to apply.

WORK STATION:

The successful candidate will be based in Arusha town where the hotel is located.
