VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Hubert Kairuki Memorial University (HKMU) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates, to be considered for immediate employment to fill the following academic vacant positions:

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer must possess a minimum GPA of at least 3.5 or higher at undergraduate level and at postgraduate level (MMED/MDent) GPA of at least 4.0 OR a PhD in the field. Associate Professor should have the Senior Lecturer qualification plus publications which on assessment produce 6 points and teaching experience of not less than 3 years. Academic qualifications must have been obtained from an internationally reputable higher learning institution.

Duties:

The main duties will include carrying out lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students; setting, invigilating and marking examination scripts for both undergraduate and postgraduate students; conducting research and disseminating research results, carrying out consultancy and community service; and to do any other relevant duties assigned by one’s supervisor.

General Attributes:

Candidates should have worked at a higher learning institution for at least THREE (3) years; ability to design, set, administer, and supervise different assessments; ability to mark student scripts and course work assessment and provide feedback; ability to carry out independent research, ability to plan and promote the vision of institution (HKMU), academic leadership and management.
