Sous Chef – Hot Kitchen

Requirements:

The incumbent for the job should meet the following minimum requirements:

• 5 years of experience in cooking, out of those at least two years at level of Chef De partie; equivalent.
• Apprenticeship or Certification from culinary school preferred, preferably Diploma level.
• Additional certifications or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and food hygiene regulations (example: HACCP).
• Good communication and organizational skills, Team player.
• Leadership skills.
• Fluent in English verbal and written knowledges.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
• Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
• Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
• Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
• Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
• Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
• Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Efficiently resolving issues with customers’ orders.
• Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.
