Software Sales & Support Officer

 Job requirements

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in software sales, customer service, retail, or business development.
  • Experience with POS, ERP, inventory management, or  accounting software will be an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain software features clearly to customers.
  • Willingness to learn and master business management software, including:
    • Inventory management
    • Sales
    • Purchasing
    • Financial reporting
    • Customer management
  • Ability to provide software demonstrations, installation assistance, user training, and after-sales technical support.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with clients.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently under sales targets.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet applications, and smartphone operation.
  • Fluency in Swahili.
  • Basic English communication skills are preferred.
  • Honest, responsible, punctual, and willing to travel within Tanzania for customer visits and training.

Preferred qualifications

The following qualifications will be an added advantage:

  • Experience using business management software, POS systems, or inventory systems.
  • Experience working in wholesale, retail, supermarkets, pharmacies, or warehouse operations.
  • Possession of a valid motorcycle or driving licence.

Main responsibilities

The Software Sales & Support Officer will be responsible for:

  • Developing new customers and promoting business management software.
  • Demonstrating software functions to potential clients.
  • Assisting customers with software installation and initial setup.
  • Training customers on daily software operations.
  • Providing after-sales support and resolving customer usage issues.
  • Maintaining long-term customer relationships and collecting user feedback.
  • Achieving monthly sales and customer service targets.
  • Reporting customer requirements and market information to management.
