Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated People & Culture Officer to support the organisation in building a strong workplace culture, ensuring smooth HR operations, and enhancing employee engagement. The role requires someone who is both proactive and approachable — able to foster trust with staff while managing HR processes effectively.
The successful candidate will play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and policy implementation while supporting the organisation’s mission to create a positive and engaging work environment.
Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Support recruitment efforts to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees.
- Ensure contracts and employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Employee Engagement & Culture
- Drive initiatives to keep employees motivated and engaged.
- Support in organising team-building and staff welfare activities.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Handle day-to-day HR queries and provide guidance to staff.
- Support disciplinary processes in line with company policies and labour laws.
- Review and update HR policies and procedures where necessary.
- HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain employee files, benefits, and HR systems.
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour laws and workplace standards.
- Prepare HR-related reports and updates for management.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of proven HR experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally.
- Vibrant, approachable, and capable of managing a dynamic workforce.
