Pursuant to its mission, ACDI/VOCA is seeking an experienced and talented professional for the Partnership Specialist position. The position is responsible for identifying Partnership opportunities, collecting information/data and facilitating relationship building with Project partners with the aim of providing a high quality and consistent service level to existing, new and aspiring project partners. In addition, the Partnership Specialist core activities will include managing value chain dynamics, market dynamics, gap analysis, and managing B2B, and B2Farmer linkages.

Location: Mbeya (1post)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist Partnership, Trade and Market Systems Manager on partner recruitment, management and facilitation: ensure proper partner registration, administration and management which includes;
  • New partner recruitment, including managing application correspondence, due diligence and reports.
  • Organize and Execute Partner Outreach Programs
  • Ensure structured feedback on all partner concerns raised within a reasonable and agreed time
  • Populate and manage partnership tracker
  • Prepare and update weekly, monthly and Quarterly Partner updates/reports
  • Organize and execute partner health check, organize and ensure proper and timely report
  • Ensure that critical partner information and data is properly documented and regularly updated and available
  • Ensure that Partner Events within the assigned region are organized efficiently as stipulated in the partnership agreement and with the best interest of Kilimo Tija and Partner in mind.
  • Handle enquiries from partners and prospective partners by communicating courteously by telephone, email, letters or face to face. Any query should be responded immediately.
  • Assist the Partnership Trade and Market Systems Manager in responding to specific Partner needs as they arise
  • Work closely with Business Development and Technology Commercialization teams to ensure that all partners receive required support.

 

  1. Support M&E and communication activities under the guidance of the of Partnership Trade and Market Systems Manager;
  • Support data collection and documentation as required by M&E and Communication teams.
  • Responsible for compiling and sharing specific partner information and data as required by M&E and Communication team
  • Take active part in surveys and reviews
  • Responsible for active management and documentation of B2B and B2Farmer linkages

 

  1. Undertakes other projects and duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Agronomy, Business Administration, Finance or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of field and technical experience in agribusiness/rural development, private public partnership engagement, entrepreneurship development, industry association development. Experience with international development organizations is an added advantage.
  • Strong networking and Coordination Skills.
  • Experience Working with Public-Private Partnerships.
  • Track record of building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work in a team of diverse individuals.
