Blue Ventures’ approach is grounded in listening and responding to the needs of coastal communities. We have developed an approach that seeks to reimagine the relationship between people and conservation, with each component of the approach designed to benefit and empower communities through practical efforts to protect the ocean.

We are seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Lead to play a key role in supporting our team, partners and communities in East Africa to use monitoring and evaluation tools that support learning and adaptive management.  The Blue Ventures Monitoring and Evaluation team is focused on providing guidance, training and support across key areas of monitoring, and evaluation including; the development of project theories of change, monitoring plans, the selection of monitoring and evaluation methods, data capture tools and data visualisation and interpretation.

The Monitoring & Evaluation Lead will be responsible for engaging teams in the M&E process, working with partnership sites and colleagues to identify capacity needs and develop training plans accordingly.  The position will be managed by the Outreach Director, with technical support from the Monitoring & Evaluation team.  This role will work closely with the Partner Support Technicians based in Kenya, Tanzania, Comoros and Mozambique, to support them and our partner organisations to strengthen and improve their monitoring & evaluation systems.
