Responsible for the end-to-end operational management and governance of the Bank’s Core network infrastructure, spanning through domestic and international locations, Data Centers and all technology platforms that constitute the bank’s core network environment and its integration to third parties. Responsible for network availability, performance, security, its governance and technology evolution.

• Operational management of the Core network domain, oversee the day-to-day performance, availability, and health of network infrastructure across all Data Center locations, with formal SLA targets and management.
• Ensure the Core Network infrastructure roadmap aligns with the Bank’s business and digital transformation strategies and supports growth plans, technology evolution and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain architectural standards and design authority for the core network infrastructure, including integrations/connectivity to LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Data Centre networking, internet gateways, and international connectivity.
• Manage and optimize the core network environments, ensuring resilient inter-DC connectivity, appropriate segmentation and alignment with disaster recovery requirements.
• Manage all international and cross-border circuits, including carrier relationships, performance benchmarking, regulatory compliance and failover capabilities for subsidiary and partners connectivity.
• Lead network security design and governance in coordination with the Cybersecurity function, ensuring controls implementation, threat detection and prevention capabilities.
• Govern the lifecycle management of Core network infrastructure across Data Center locations, including standardised rollout, monitoring, and refresh/upgrade planning.
• Manage all Core network vendors and relationships, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, SLA enforcement, and technology refresh agreements.
• Ensure network infrastructure meets all applicable regulatory requirements including Internal Risk & Compliance, Cyber Security, Internal Audit, SWIFT standards, PCI DSS, Central Bank ICT governance requirements and data residency obligations.
• Lead and develop the network operations team, including talent management, performance reviews, training plans and succession planning.
• Own the Core network infrastructure budget (CAPEX and OPEX) that includes annual planning, project scopes, procurement oversight and value assurance.
• Serve as the escalation point for major core network incidents, lead incident reviews and root cause analysis and preventive action plans
• Provide periodic network capacity forecast, planning statistics and periodic reports to aid management decisions in enhancing service delivery and roadmap of the network infrastructure.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks and issues, create plans to mitigate and resolve them as well as acting as technical liaison with vendors to resolve the issues within prescribed SLAs.
• Remains highly informed on industry best practices applicable to the responsibilities of this position. Involved in the evolution and roadmap of the network infrastructure solutions, in order to advise the business on optimal and up to date solutions that will bring synergies with company strategies.
• Work with project office/delivery teams to design, plan, deploy and document network and security solutions for the Bank and participate in ICT related projects and duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer systems technology or related academic field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network and Infrastructure preferable in Banking environment.
• Essential certifications: ITIL4, CompTIA Network+ Certification, Cisco Certifications, Other OEMs Internetwork Expert Certifications.
• Technical handling interaction with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Experience of working with multiple vendor equipment such as Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Fortinet, Radware etc.
• Knowledge in business processes, people management, process mapping, team building and measurement.
• Knowledge in analyzing, testing and evaluating networks to make sure that they run properly and that they have the resources necessary for smooth functioning.
• Knowledge in network security including architecture and configuration of Cisco routers, firewalls and a wide range of security products.
• Expert-level knowledge of enterprise network technologies including routing/switching, MPLS, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, firewall architecture, and Data Centre networking.
• Proficiency in network security frameworks including zero-trust architecture, micro-segmentation, IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation, and PCI DSS network controls.
