DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i.Managing the research component

ii. Dealing with Kiswahili language issues for foreigners.

iii.Provide guidance to writers and publishers of books on Good Writing.

iv. Coordinate workshops, seminars and meetings of language and literature committee.

v. Supervising the work of mentoring high school and college students when they write professionally.

vi. HE CAN BE APPOINTED HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

vii. To perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by his supervisor

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree in Literature, Language or Kiswahili Linguistics from a Government recognized college of higher education.

• At least eight years work experience

• Have written any article or book on Kiswahili literature or linguistics such as dissertation.
