Job Purpose and Responsibilities

The Lifeguard & Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, supervision, cleanliness and proper operation of the school swimming pool.

The role involves:

• Monitoring students and other authorised pool users.

• Preventing accidents.

• Responding to emergencies.

• Maintaining pool hygiene.

• Ensuring that school swimming activities are conducted in accordance with established safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. First Aid, CPR and official Lifeguard or Water Safety certification.

2. Previous minimum of two years of experience as a lifeguard, swimming instructor, pool attendant or in a similar role.

3. Strong swimming ability and demonstrated lifesaving skills.
