Responsibilities
The Junior Technical Officer will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment.
- Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols to minimize risks.
- Ensuring that quality standards are maintained throughout production and operational processes.
- Documenting maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and operational challenges.
- Developing process improvements using engineering principles and software tools.
- Conducting material planning and coordinating with the procurement team on resource allocation.
- Contributing to sustainable engineering initiatives that are environmentally friendly and safe.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications and skills
Candidates should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance and quality control, or a STEM-related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and process improvement.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- A willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adapt to different engineering, technical, and operational roles.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
