Software, hardware and enterprise technology solutions

Exceed Solutions Company Limited is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of IT Field Sales. This is a full-time, field-based role and is not a desk or office-based position.

The successful candidate will be required to meet clients, visit sites, attend tender briefings, present technology solutions, and close sales across software, hardware, and enterprise IT infrastructure product lines.

Job summary

Exceed Solutions is seeking an energetic and target-driven IT Sales Executive to grow revenue across its software, hardware, and IT infrastructure product lines.

The role covers sales of:

  • ERP systems
  • Power BI and business intelligence solutions
  • Business applications
  • Laptops and PCs
  • Networking equipment
  • MAXHUB interactive displays
  • Related IT infrastructure solutions

This is a field-based sales position that requires the candidate to be active in the market by meeting prospective and existing clients, visiting client sites, attending tender briefings, and closing deals.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities in software, hardware, and networking technology sales.
  • Conduct regular field visits to prospective and existing clients, including corporates, government institutions, parastatals, and NGOs, to present solutions and close sales.
  • Sell and cross-sell the company’s full portfolio, including ERP systems such as SAP Business One and ERPNext, Power BI and BI solutions, MAXHUB interactive displays, networking equipment, laptops, PCs, and related IT hardware.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
  • Monitor, register, and respond to relevant tenders on e-procurement platforms such as NeST/TANePS and the PPRA portal.
  • Prepare compliant and competitive tender or bid documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, product demonstrations, and technical or commercial proposals in coordination with the technical team.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms in line with company policy.
  • Follow through on deals until closure and after-sales handover.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs across assigned product lines and territories.
  • Track competitor activity, market trends, and pricing to support sales strategy.
  • Represent Exceed Solutions at industry events, exhibitions, and client functions to build brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Provide timely sales reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in software and hardware technology sales.
  • Experience in IT solutions, ERP, or systems integration companies is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling to corporate, government, or parastatal accounts is a strong advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for field work.
  • Own vehicle is an added advantage.

Knowledge and technical familiarity

The ideal candidate should have knowledge or familiarity in the following areas:

  • Working knowledge of ERP solutions such as SAP Business One, ERPNext, or similar business applications.
  • Understanding of networking equipment, including routers, switches, structured cabling, and wireless solutions.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with hardware product lines such as laptops, desktops or PCs, printers, interactive displays such as MAXHUB, and peripherals.
  • Basic understanding of Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, cloud, or data centre solutions is a plus.

  • NeST, Tanzania National e-Procurement System
  • TANePS
  • PPRA Tenders Portal
  • UN Global Marketplace, where relevant
  • World Bank eConsultant2, where relevant
  • AfDB procurement portal, where relevant

Productivity and reporting tools

  • MS Office
  • Google Workspace
  • Power BI exposure for sales dashboards and reporting is an advantage

Communication tools

  • WhatsApp Business
  • Email
  • Zoom
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Google Meet

Additional requirements

  • Must own a laptop.
  • Must have a driver’s license.
