Duties and responsibilities

The ICT Officer II (Systems Analyst) will be responsible for the following:

1. Participating in systems analysis, business process analysis and requirements gathering for information systems.
2. Preparing system specifications, technical documentation and user manuals.
3. Participating in system testing, implementation, maintenance and the continuous improvement of information systems.
4. Providing technical support to users and participating in user training and awareness programmes.
5. Participating in business process re-engineering and digital transformation initiatives.
6. Participating in data analysis, system integration and quality assurance activities.
7. Monitoring system performance and recommending appropriate improvements.
8. Performing any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Computer Science
• Information Systems
• Information Technology
• Software Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Business Information Systems
• An equivalent qualification from a recognized higher learning institution

The candidate must possess knowledge or practical exposure in:

• Systems analysis
• Enterprise information systems
• User requirements gathering
• System testing
• ICT user support
• Business process analysis
• Technical documentation

Knowledge of the following areas will be an added advantage:

• Cybersecurity
• Enterprise applications
• Government ICT systems
