flySunBird is a private Tanzanian company operating helicopters for commercial flights in Tanzania. The company currently operates in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar and plans to expand its presence across the country.
flySunBird is fully licensed by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority. Its services include scenic flights, tailor-made charter flights, and corporate and VIP flights across mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Job overview
flySunBird is looking for professional Field Sales Representatives who can provide outstanding customer service and drive the achievement of the company’s sales targets.
Successful candidates should be presentable and possess strong communication and negotiation skills. They must be self-motivated, able to initiate sales interactions in the field, generate and pursue sales leads, and confidently close sales.
The role will be supported by a small centralized call centre and an in-office marketing support structure. However, the position requires someone who can work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and self-motivation.
Key responsibilities
The Field Sales Representatives will be expected to:
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Drive and achieve the company’s sales targets.
- Initiate sales interactions with potential customers in the field.
- Generate and pursue sales leads.
- Confidently negotiate and close sales.
- Identify and attract direct corporate clients from various industries.
- Engage with relevant organizations and stakeholders in the travel industry.
- Promote the benefits of travelling by helicopter or small private aircraft.
- Target companies and clients who may benefit from the speed, convenience, exclusivity, or adventure offered by private air travel.
- Help clients access air travel services at times and locations that fit their schedules.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should:
- Be professional and presentable.
- Have strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Be highly self-motivated.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Be confident in generating leads and closing sales.
- Have a natural talent and enthusiasm for sales.
- Have the legal right to live and work in the location for which they are applying.
Previous field sales experience will be advantageous. However, applicants who believe they are suitable for the role are encouraged to apply and explain why they would be a good fit.
Previous knowledge or experience in helicopters or aviation is not essential. Full training will be provided to successful candidates who demonstrate strong sales talent.
Remuneration and benefits
The monthly remuneration and benefits package includes:
- Net monthly salary: TZS 1,250,000, net of all deductions
- Excellent commission on all monthly sales revenue generated
- Transport and communications allowance
- Company medical plan
- 28 days of annual leave
Work authorization requirement
