Country and Branch Representative

March/April 2024 long term based in Dar es Salaam with regular travel to secondary cities in Tanzania Mainland, and Zanzibar.

Artelia has been involved in various projects and studies in Tanzania such as the Rusumo Hydropower Plant, Mindu Dam Raising (Morogoro), Shinyanga Solar Farm, Julius Nyerere Hydropower plant among others.

To sustain and reinforce our activities and development in Tanzania, we are looking for our Tanzanian branch and country representative.

Under the responsibility of the Director of the Business Unit Water, Energy and Environment based in France, the representative will be in charge of the business development of our activities in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar in all sectors (water, energy, maritime, environment, transportation, buildings, 0&G, Mining, and Industry)

The representative will also support Artelia’s Project Managers (mainly based in France) in the execution of the ongoing assignments in Tanzania,

  • Through smooth and regular Client and local partner communication,
  • Support the HQ in the branch’s financial and administrative local obligations (relationship with bank, external accounting firm, tax administration)
  • Provide logistical support to the short-term expert’s mobilization from overseas.

Prerequisites

  • 8+ years’ experience in the infrastructure/construction sector, preferably in the energy or water sector
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an engineering/consulting firm or a public organization.
  • Robust interpersonal skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, Fluent in English
  • Strong leadership skills
  • A familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite

Remuneration: to be discussed, based on the experience.
