DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(i) Conducting patrol activitiesinandaroundthePark;

(ii) Guardingvisitors,staffandtheirpropertiesandensuringtheirsecurity;

(iii) Enforcing National Parkslaws, rulesandregulations;

(iv)RespondingtoemergencysituationssuchasrescueandinstitutingFirstAid;

(v)Participatinginmarking, clearingand protectionofparkboundary

(vi) Reportingonmattersrelatingtothesecurity,safetyandgeneraloperationsoftherespectivesection tothe immediate superior;

(vii)Checking ,searching, apprehending and/orarrestingperson/ personssuspected of wildlifeoffences;

(viii)Ensuringsafetyofsentryarea andhandleallincidences;

(ix)Participatinginroutineandad–hocparades;

(x) Investigating matters relating to possible wildlife offences and give evidence before thecourtof law;

(xi)Participatingin joint protection activities with otherwildlifeinstitutionsandlawenforcementagenciesin, aroundand cross–borders;

(xii)Participatingincollaborativepatroloperationswithadjacentcommunitiesinprotectingpropertiesand human life;

(xiii)Participatinginecologicalmonitoringactivitiessuchasanimalhealthmonitoring,animalcounts/census,weatherdatacollection,earlyburning,firesuppressionandGIS;and

(xiv)Performing other related duties as may beassigned by the superior.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination(CSEE)with Basicor Technician Certificate in Wildlife Management or One-year National Service Certificate.
