Job overview

LJ Ascendant Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee and manage civil engineering works for its client’s airport construction project.

The successful candidate will ensure that structural designs, airfield pavements, and infrastructure meet all applicable engineering standards and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for:

• Supervising civil, structural, and infrastructure construction works across airfield areas, including:
  • Pavements
  • Runways
  • Taxiways
  • Aprons
  • Landside structures
• Reviewing civil engineering drawings, designs, and specifications to ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Monitoring site progress, compliance with technical specifications, and adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and airport authorities to resolve technical queries and site issues.
• Preparing technical reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation.

Qualifications and requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Must have served as a Civil Engineer on at least one airport construction project within the past 10 years.
• More than 10 years of total experience in civil engineering design and construction management is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of airfield civil engineering standards, including ICAO, FAA, or applicable local aviation standards.
• A valid professional engineering licence or registration is preferred.
