Job summary

Tabono Consult Limited is seeking an accurate, organized, and experienced Cashier to join its client’s team in Dar es Salaam.

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated experience handling customer transactions, managing cash, and processing internal invoicing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately handle all customer payments, including cash, card, and digital transactions, and issue correct receipts.
• Prepare, issue, and verify professional invoices against purchase orders or goods received notes.
• Reconcile cash drawers daily and manage petty cash records with a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date transaction ledgers and assist in generating daily or weekly financial reports.
• Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful demeanour in all client and team interactions.

Candidate requirements

• A minimum of three years of work experience in a similar invoicing or cashiering role.
• Proven experience working specifically within a supermarket or banking environment.
• Practical experience using Tally accounting software is an added advantage.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft packages, e.g., Excel Master, including advanced spreadsheet  management, formulas, and data analysis.
