JOB SUMMARY NA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. To assist in the supervision of data collection for analyzing meteorological data and charts;

1. To Code, decode and transmits meteorological and weather messages;

iii. To provide plots observations on chats;

1. To perform Upper air (i.e. Operates Radiosondes and Pilot balloon ascent);
2. To process autographic data and Computes simple statistics;
3. To receives, edits and transmits meteorological messages, data and products;

vii. To assist in the supervision of data collection for analyzing meteorological data and chats;

viii. To check the accuracy of gathered data for provision of meteorological services in various fields such as Agrometeorology, Hydrometeorology, Marine, Environment, Seismology;

1. To collect data for meteorological flight plan and material documentation for aviation;
2. To communicate and transmit weather information to different users;
3. To receive and transmit aeronautical information from/to aircraft and ground stations; and
4. To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Diploma in Meteorology from the recognized institution or its equivalent.
