Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria.           PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The role of assistant I within the Resourcing and execution group is to ensure that there are safe and

efficient work processes mainly sampling and support at site coreshed, core yard and remote.

          QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least a certificate of secondary Education (CSEE) or Certificate in geology/mining/mineral processing from recognized institution

           EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 1 year working experience on exploration or mining environment
•  Experience on geological sampling or other exploration – related fields work is an added advantage.

MAIN OR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring HSE is compliant.
• Preparation of sampling implements bags and labels.
• Drilling Pad preparation and reclamation
• Undertakes sampling of soil, trench, Pit, Bleg RC, DD, RAB and Rock samples
• Magnetic Susceptibility determination
• Specific Gravity determination
• Core photographing
• Sample weighing and recording.
• Sample sorting and storage
• Housekeeping
• Core moves and tray re labeling.

           ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Communication Skills
