AgResults Tanzania Climate-Smart Dairy Prize Competition competitor request for applications transmittal letter

On behalf of the AgResults Tanzania Climate-Smart Dairy Prize Competition (the “Project”), the Project Manager (PM) Heifer International invites your organization to participate in up to two prize mechanisms (1) an input prize (“Input Prize”) and/or (2) a fodder prize (“Fodder Prize”) through which the Project aims to test Pay-for-Results mechanism approaches to scaling up innovative technologies, tools, and approaches to increase dairy productivity by using improved inputs. Participants of both prize mechanisms (“Competitors”) can apply to one or both prize mechanisms since the input prize and fodder prize are different. The Project will take place in Morogoro, Iringa, Njombe, and Mbeya regions.

For the Input Prize, Heifer International is calling for applications from established entities from the private, parastatal, and non-profit sectors to participate in Sales Period 1. For the Fodder Prize, Heifer International is calling for applications from primary fodder producers from the private, parastatal, and non-profit sectors. Entities interested in participating in both mechanisms are required to apply to each prize mechanism separately.

The Request for Application (RFA) in the below QR code outlines the Project background, objectives, and rules, and includes two application forms, one for the Input Prize and one for the Fodder Prize. In applying, your organization consents to the RFA terms, including the application procedures and instructions.

Input Prize

For the Input Prize, the first set of applications are due no later than 1700 Hrs. EAT on September 4, 2026. The competition will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis after this date. Applications will be reviewed within 30 days of submission by the Project Manager and Technical Advisory Committee.

For the Input Prize, please indicate “Input Competitor RFA-AgResults Tanzania Climate-Smart Dairy Prize Competition” in the subject line of the email or on the cover page.

Fodder Prize

For the Fodder Prize, the first set of applications are due no later than 1700 Hrs. EAT on September 4, 2026. The competition will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis after this date. Applications will be reviewed within 30 days of submission by the Project Manager and Technical Advisory Committee. Please indicate.

For the Fodder Prize, please indicate “Fodder Competitor RFA-AgResults Tanzania Climate-Smart Dairy Prize Competition” in the subject line of the email or on the cover page.

Application documents must be submitted by email to [email protected]. The Project Manager team will review applications according to the criteria described herein. The applicants whose applications meet the selection criteria will be invited to participate in the competition.
