Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled accountant to manage our day-to-day finances, inventory costing, sales tracking, and reporting. Our company deals in fresh and processed fish, and we use an ERP system to manage operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and cash flow

  • Prepare monthly financial reports

  • Monitor stock levels and cost of goods sold

  • Handle invoicing, customer payments, and supplier reconciliation

  • Bank reconciliations and tax filings (TRA)

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting

  • Must know at least one ERP or accounting system (ERPNext, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.)

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Knowledge of VAT and tax compliance in Tanzania

  • Detail-oriented and good communication skills

    Work closely with the sales and operations team
