Role overview & key responsibilities

The Sales Executive Officer (SFE) drives sales growth, client acquisition, and insurance portfolio expansion across the Lake Eastern Zone. The role focuses on identifying market opportunities, presenting financial security solutions, and managing client relationships in Mwanza, Simiyu, Shinyanga, and Mara.

• Client Acquisition & Sales: Promote and sell life insurance products to individual and corporate clients across the assigned zone.
• Negotiation & Closing: Present tailor-made insurance solutions, handle client inquiries, negotiate terms, and successfully close sales.
• Market Development: Identify new business opportunities, build strong customer networks, and maintain a consistent sales pipeline.
• Customer Care & Relationship Management: Provide ongoing client support, assist with policy renewals, and deliver excellent service to ensure high customer retention.
• Performance Targets: Work independently and as part of a team to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly commercial targets.

Qualifications & requirements

• Education: Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field. (Minimum requirement: College qualification at Diploma level or above).
• Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of sales experience, preferably within the insurance, microfinance, banking, or financial services sectors.
• Language Skills: Full fluency in spoken and written English and Swahili.
• Core Competencies: Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills; self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized.
• IT Literacy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
