Based: Zenith Media PVT LTD, Production Site, Unga Limited, Arusha.

Position reports to: Press Manager.

Job Purpose Summary: To ensure effective completion of press jobs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Cutting paper and other materials in accordance with job specifications.
  • Carrying out both pre-press and post-press tasks. In prepress keeping machines and materials (such as paper and boards) ready and cut to enable printing.
  • Constructing stands for calenders and related products.
  • Carrying out various other finishing tasks within the press department of: laminating, creasing, perforating, binding, sticking, case making, stitching, perfect binding, foiling.
  • Using and maintaining in good condition all finishing and post-press machines including, but not limited to; guillotine machines, creasing machines, foiling machines, laminating machines, perforating machines, binding machines, casing machines.
  • Packing finished goods and labelling package with relevant information
  • Communicating job information and job progress to Press Manager & Operator(s)
  • Communicating with Press Format Manager and Operator(s) to increase productivity and efficiency and to cut waste.
  • Keeping relevant work space clean and organized.
  • Following safe practices and adhering to safety standards (as stated in policies and procedures).

  • Attend training as and when specified by company.
  • Attend meetings when required.
  • To undertake self-development relevant to the position.
  • To complete other tasks as required by the company
