Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and financial planning activities. The role supports business decision-making through accurate financial data and requires exposure to international or cross-border business environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements, including Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) guidelines
• Prepare financing plans and support funding-related activities
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and closing processes
• Support internal and external audits
• Prepare financial reports and professional presentations using PowerPoint
• Perform other standard accounting duties as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
• Strong and demonstrable accounting experience within an international environment
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in financial forecasting and financial planning
• Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
