Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

More than 5,000 customers have engaged the global OSCs over the past year to get hands-on experience with their own applications running on Oracle systems, software, and technology.
Located in 11 cities around the world, the OSCs are unique test-drive facilities for customer benchmarking, capacity planning, and proof of concept using the customer’s own data, applications, and infrastructure in a simulated production environment.

Members of the OSC are highly technical Sales Consultants & Architects whose objective is to remove all uncertainty in sales situations, by providing all necessary product proof points to our customers covering the whole Red Stack and including all our Cloud services, onPrem, Hybrid and Public.
Job Scope & Responsibilities
The OSC is looking for a strong candidate to apply for a Senior Sales Consultant role focused on building best practices and Demo/Workshop/POC/Benchmark implementations that maximize customers/Partners’ adoption of Oracle IaaS & PaaS technologies & Platforms. You will work remotely with key customers / Partners and provide technical and architectural guidance with the sole objective of assisting them to prove Oracle’s value proposition and help shortening the sales cycle.
As Senior Sales Consultant you will lead individual activities which are initiated by account teams, create, implement and deliver technical content, with a dedicated focus on IaaS & PaaS & Engineered Systems and many more coming up in near future. In this role you are engaged with a wide cross section of internal and external stakeholders – development, support, Oracle consulting services, and third-party vendors to drive Oracle IaaS & PaaS & Engineered Systems Platform adoption.
Demonstrate the strength and credibility of Oracle’s Cloud IaaS/PaaS technology and Engineered Systems products and solutions for Cloud adoption, from technical to board level
Help customers / partners and position Oracle’s strategic propositions to their best advantage through technical presentations, whiteboard/round table discussions, customized demonstrations and ‘hands-on’ product workshops
Plan & manage virtual teams for Proof of Concept and Benchmarks projects
Represent Oracle at marketing events as required
work as part of the Oracle Solution Centre team on specific opportunities to enhance sales revenue for Oracle Corporation through cloud consumption, license and hardware sales
‘Knowledge Sharing’ – global Oracle Solution Centre team and other specified groups are provided with up-to-date and relevant product knowledge.
Build and maintain relevant relationships with Account teams, Sales Consulting and customers during the whole OSC engagement process
Keep up to date on all relevant competitive products
Provide Hands-on capabilities to support projects and solve potential issues
Liaise xLOB incl. A-Team, Development, Engineering …
Adhere to the OSC Engagement Process, qualifying, scoping, managing and driving to successful completion, all customer engagements.

Abilities to evaluate cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning applications
Capabilities to provide best practices guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications, projects, or the enterprise
Hands-on technical expertise in technology automation, implementation, integration, and/or deployment (IaaS & PaaS)
Hands-on technical expertise in building security capabilities in code and deploying infrastructure in code
Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions as well as cloud build in security features (IDCS, CASB, …)
Demonstrated experience overcoming workload transition challenges
Demonstrated understanding what it means to draw out customer needs and deliver rapidly but practical outcomes addressing those needs
Experience building enterprise security strategy for cloud adoption to meet new requirements
Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments at scale
Evidence of the ability to lead effectively across organizations
Understanding architectural implications of meeting industry standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST/DoD frameworks
Experience of working in virtual and distributed teams
Excellent team, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to learn and master new product features, absorb new technologies and feedback to engineering when required
thorough understanding of relevant Oracle Technical Architectures and their applicability to Oracle’s customers, combined with the ability to identify and articulate their comparative advantages/disadvantages.
