As Senior Events Manager you will be responsible for achieving cumulative budget objectives in groups sales at the Gran Melia Arusha in the following segments: MICE, Leisure Groups, Tour Series and optimize sales of the hotel’s meeting space. To ensure the planning, organization and efficient operation of the department, maximum customer satisfaction and that all business opportunities are exploited for group business.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Related experience in sales preferably in hospitality/service/event/catering industry
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong sales skills including experience with prospecting, cold calls, and negotiating skills.
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office. CRM will be highly valued.
  • Strong leadership and people skills, plus the ability to build and foster a team environment.
  • Experience in MICE, Corporate, Leisure.
