We are recruiting for our new seaweed processing biorefinery. This factory is developing novel solar biorefinery technologies and will be the first of its kind along the seashores of Africa. The location is Kilwa Masoko.

The job positions available include the following:

Position Title: Head of Analytical Chemistry Lab

The successful candidate will manage the complete lab operations and oversee functions, including but not limited to:

• Contracting for analytical tests to be performed by third-party contractors.

• Supervising or undertaking adherence to specimen preparation procedures.

• Implementing new programs, tests, methods, and instrumentation.

• Establishing quality standards to maintain laboratory equipment performance.

• Ensuring that informational needs are met through laboratory information systems.

• Maintaining laboratory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

• Meeting operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.

Required Profile:

1. A bachelor’s degree or above in plant science, agronomy, or related fields.

2. Three or more years of supervisory experience.
