i.Responsible for managing and execution of all Instrumentation and control maintenance works/activities in the Plant with objective of ensuring smooth operational of power generating equipment;

ii.Responsible for designing and developing new control systems, testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems;

iii.Responsible for analysing data, troubleshooting for errors and presenting findings in written reports;

iv.Managing instrumentation and control operations and maintenances;

v.Respond promptly to emergence calls during emergence breakdowns to ensure restoration of fault equipment within minimum time possible;

vi.Plan and Schedule plant Instrumentation and Control system maintenance works, keep maintenance records, equipment status updating;

vii.Prepares specifications for instruments, systems (DCS), instrument data sheets and loop diagrams;

viii.Interprets all drawings and manuals necessary for smooth execution of the plants. This includes interpreting circuit diagrams and instrument detail design on P&ID’s;

ix.Execute properly and write computer software, programs and test procedures;

x.Working collaboratively with planning engineers, maintenance engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff to for smooth execution of the power plant;

xi.Also responsible for supervising installation and testing of new control and measurement instruments;

xii.Calibrating instruments and associated equipment;

xiii.Observe safety regulations when carrying out maintenance duties to ensure no accidents to people and equipment while ensuring quality work standards; and

xiv.Maintain and keep in safe custody all equipment and working tools under your jurisdiction



•Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a  recognized University;

•Must be registered by Engineers Registration Board (ERB);

•Computer literacy is a must.

•One year working experience in a related field.
